PHOENIX – April 27, 2023 – Today, Avertium announced the addition of Kelly Bissell, Corporate Vice President at Microsoft, as Board Advisor to the Phoenix-based cyber fusion company.

Bissell brings more than 30 years of security experience to his new advisory role with Avertium. Prior to joining Microsoft, Bissell held security roles in cyber risk, security forensics, cyber defense operations, and compliance at companies including Accenture, Deloitte, and Arthur Andersen.

“Kelly has a global view of emerging security technology and customer needs to Avertium, and we are excited about his immediate contributions to the vision for the company,” said Bill Carroll, Chief Executive Officer of Avertium.

As cybersecurity risk grows and technology innovation accelerates, “midsize enterprise organizations have the same cyber risks as large companies but without the internal resources,” said Bissell. “I want to help companies partner with excellent cybersecurity teams like Avertium so they can focus on growth and not have to worry about cybersecurity risks – Avertium will help them be safe and compliant.”

The addition of Bissell follows Avertium’s launch of Fusion MXDR, the company’s most advanced managed service and winner of “Security Response Solution of the Year” by the Annual International CyberSecurity Breakthrough Awards.

Bissell has contributed to the World Economic Forum as a member of the Board of Advisors, and he writes security perspectives for publications such as The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, CFO Magazine, CIO Magazine, and The Cipher Brief.
