A healthcare technology company delivers an integrated healthcare platform designed to reduce costs, improve quality, and simplify the healthcare experience for employers, payers, providers, and members.
In a highly competitive healthcare technology market, the customer wanted to adopt AI securely within its Microsoft-centric environment. Multiple mergers and acquisitions had expanded system access across a broad user base, increasing the complexity of protecting sensitive data and governing how it could be used. At the same time, internal teams were focused on an active merger, creating a need for experienced Microsoft security specialists who could assess the environment, clarify priorities, and accelerate progress.
Avertium worked with the customer to establish a stronger data governance foundation and convert broad AI ambitions into an actionable security plan. The engagement began with a Microsoft-funded Data Security Envisioning Workshop, giving the customer team direct access to a Microsoft Purview expert and hands-on experience with the platform. Avertium then conducted a Copilot Readiness Assessment to evaluate existing security controls, surface identity and access gaps, and identify areas where sensitive data required stronger governance.
The assessment produced a detailed remediation roadmap that prioritized tactical controls and configuration improvements. With the Purview Starter Kit as the next phase, Avertium can help the customer align governance, risk, and compliance capabilities with strategic initiatives and operationalize Purview across the organization.
Avertium will work with the customer to prioritize and remediate findings from the Copilot Readiness Assessment, then use the Purview Starter Kit to advance governance capabilities in line with the company’s strategic initiatives. The customer is also exploring Avertium’s Fusion MXDR for Microsoft as a more comprehensive and cost-effective option for 24x7 monitoring across the enterprise.
